3 Major Commercial Vehicle Displays at the India Auto Expo 2014

Scania, a renowned brand for commercial motor vehicles, launched its very own Fleet Management Service in India at the Auto Expo 2014. It is indeed a sign that there is a striking competition among the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, which will only get more intense in the near future. But Scania is not only the notable manufacturers of commercial vehicles in India. Let us take a look at the top three major commercial displays at Auto Expo 2014.
3 Major Commercial Vehicle Displays at Auto Expo 2014
The Auto Expo 2014, held in Greater Noida, saw the launch of 69 power-packed vehicles in India. Ten commercial vehicles were displayed at the event and the top three worth a special mention and worth investing for commercial vehicleinsurance are:
  1. Ashok Leyland: Captain 2523 Tipper: One of the few heavy commercial vehicles comes with an impressive gross weight ranging from 16 tons to 49 tons. This indigenous commercial vehicle development will be manufactured at Ashok Leyland’s Uttarakhand car manufacturing facility. This automobile may not only go easy on your investment in commercial vehicle insurance, but may even make logistics easier for medium-sized businesses.
  2. Scania R 500 6x4: Scania had magnificently displayed the latest heavy haulage truck with a powerful V8 engine that grabbed some attention. Note, that the cost of commercial vehicle insurance may be higher for this automobile, considering that the parts are expensive and high-maintenance despite having a high-performance engine.
  3. Ashok Leyland: Boss: Generally, the Boss truck is available without refrigeration, but for Auto Expo, the company decided to show-off their refrigerated Boss truck. This intermediate commercial vehicle (ICV) is fully equipped with an insulated container and a stock refrigeration unit to transport goods that need to be kept cold during the harsh Indian summers. So, commercial vehicle insurance for this truck may not be much of a worry in terms of size.
While there is room for more investments in commercial vehicles and related industries, such as the insurance and maintenance required, heavy vehicle manufacturing giants had some impressive news during Auto Expo 2014. The well-known VE Commercial Vehicles announced plans of getting into a half and half joint venture with Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, with investment plans of Rs 600 crore for product development and marketing initiatives in 2014. Auto Expo 2014 proved that the future for commercial vehicles is bright for India.
